Planning a Videoconference at Hempfield

This diagram is an overview of the process of requesting and executing a videoconference event. We participate in two types of videoconferencing events - content provider videoconferences and collaboration videoconferences.

The instructional technology contacts are Sue Allen and Joanne Jones. At the high school we will use rm 119 for your videoconference if there is already not a class scheduled in the room. At the other levels we will use the mobile Polycom unit. The teacher is responsible for securing a projector and arranging the furniture in the room for the videoconference. An etiquette session is held before every videoconference and every participating student needs to have a completed permission slip. All videoconferences also have a pre-class activity for the students to complete and a follow-up evaluation after the videoconference.
