Written on December 22, 2009 – 11:08 am | by jimalbright

For the past two weeks the seventh graders in their CSS Classes have been discussing the use of technology to take bullying one more step - into the world of Cyber Bullying!  Students tackle the following goals:

1 - Define it! (Cyber Bullying)

2 - Discuss it! (What are some examples of techniques used by the Cyber Bully)

3 - Stop it! (What can a person do to minimize Cyber Bullying)

The web site & story used to stir discussion is the Ryan Halligan Story.

What is GeoGebra? GeoGebra is dynamic mathematics software for all levels of education that goes from basic arithmetic, geometry, algebra and all the way to calculus. It offers in graphics, algebra, and spreadsheet views that are all dynamically linked.

The idea behind GeoGebra is to connect geometric, algebraic, and numeric representations. You can do constructions with points, vectors, lines, conic sections as well as functions and change them dynamically afterwards. Great for students in middle school through high school!
