Championship-type day

Three out of four ain’t bad.

On a day in which 4 LL League Championships were contested, the Black Knights took home gold in 3.  Girls Lacrosse was the lone runner up, losing a heartbreaker in the last seconds.

Boys Lacrosse vanquished Township for their second straight LL title, 8-6.  Scoring for the good guys were Derek Kline (3), Greg Sheetz (2), Andrew Meier (2) and Ryan Bailey.

The Boys Track and Field team held on to win their 3rd straight LL title.  Bringing home individual gold were:

  • Matthew Groff, 3200 m and 1600 m
  • Hansel Akers, 400 m
  • 4×100 m  (Dustin Koenig, Joel Ladsen, Joe Santos, Hansel Akers)

The Girls team won their 21st LL title over all, second in a row, and 10th in the last 11 years.  Individual champions were:

  • Ellie Ressler, Pole Vault
  • Angie Rothmiller, 200 m
  • Kelley Donovan, 400 m
  • 4×100 m (Meagan McGeehan, Brittany Schuck, Kelley Donovan, Angie Rothmiller)
  • Spencer Nendza, Triple Jump

To close out the day, the Girls Soccer team knocked off Conestoga Valley to run the table on the league, 1-0. Maraiah Dimm had the lone goal, but it seems in the league one is all that is needed as the girls had not been scored upon in league play.
